I'm a week behind, since this is last Sunday night's dinner. I love both of these recipes because they take almost no time, look good on the plate and taste amazing. The chicken recipe is from here, no surprise it's Jamie Oliver. The pasta recipe is from an old issue of Domino Magazine. I can't find any links to it online since Domino is no longer around (boo) so instead I'll post it below. We also made a modified version of our favorite summer salad. Can you tell I love tomatoes?
(click below for recipe)
3 1/2 pounds heirloom tomatoes, cut into large chunks
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp kosher salt
ground pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons pesto (I usually skip this step since I'm lazy and don't usually want to make pesto)
2 cloves garlic, cut in half
1 pound gemelli pasta (the recipe actually calls for strozzapreti or casarecci pasta, but it's easier to find gemelli)
1/2 cup basil leaves, torn
shaved parmesan
In a large serving bowl, combine the tomatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, pesto and garlic. Stir well, cover and let marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes to 3 hours. Remove garlic. Cook the pasta. Drain and toss with tomato mixture. Stir in basil leaves, top with parmesan.

I like your pictures. Do you mind telling me what camera/lens you typically use?
Thank you! This picture was taken with the Canon 5D Mark ii and a 50 mm lens (f/1.4). I either use this camera/lens (my husband's) or my lower end camera - Canon Rebel XSI with a 28 mm f/1.8.
